Privacy
What Drivos collects, how it’s used, and how you can control it.
Last updated:
What we collect
- Account. When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email and an account ID so we know it’s you. If you sign in with Apple and hide your email, we only receive Apple’s relay address.
- Location. Only while you’re using the app, to find parking near you or near your destination and to guide you there.
- Voice. Apple speech recognition turns what you say into text. On supported devices this happens on your iPhone; otherwise Apple’s servers handle it. We never receive audio recordings.
- Voice command log. We keep the parking and navigation commands you speak, together with the recognized text, what the app understood you wanted, and the destination you named. We use it to make recognition more accurate.
- Usage counts. How many times each feature is used per day, so we can keep the service running and prevent abuse.
Where it’s stored
Your trip history stays on your iPhone. It keeps your last 30 trips. Your account, voice command log and usage counts are stored in our cloud database, run by Supabase in Tokyo, Japan. Car park locations are shared by all users and aren’t linked to your account.
Services we rely on
- Apple for sign-in and speech recognition.
- Google for sign-in, maps, and searching places and car parks.
- OpenAI to read answers out loud and to make them sound natural. It only receives the text to be spoken.
- TypeSafe to tell whether a sentence is meant for Drivos and what you want. It only receives the recognized text.
- Supabase for hosting and the database.
We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.
Your choices
- You can turn off location, microphone or speech recognition access at any time in iPhone Settings. Some features stop working when you do.
- Email doppler.kuo@gmail.com to see your data, have it deleted, or delete your account. We’ll finish within 30 days.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data and voice command log until you delete your account or ask us to delete them.
The demo on this website
The demo on our home page asks for your location. If you allow it, your location is used in your browser and sent to public OpenStreetMap services (Nominatim for search, OSRM for routing, OpenFreeMap for map tiles) to find parking and plan a route. Our servers never receive or store this data.
Early access sign-ups
When you sign up for early access on our website, we receive your email and the site language, stored in the same cloud database (Supabase in Tokyo, Japan). We use them only to send your TestFlight invitation and launch news. Email us any time to be removed.
Children
Drivos is made for drivers and is not directed at children under 13.
